Discovery Gateway Fun!

Well friends, it's been a while. Our computer has been having major issues, Kevin has been trying to work on it for over a week. I'm hoping to get this posted without any problems and without the computer blowing up on me or something.

This last week was Kevin's Spring break from school. Kind of a bummer that he still had to work, although we made it a fun week. He had his regular Friday off and decided to extend the fun to be able to somewhat experience a Spring Break and took Thursday off as well. We took the kids to one of the newest attractions in our area, Fat Cats in Ogden. We did some glow-in-the-dark miniature golf and played lots of fun arcade games. We ate pizza and then came home to watch movies. On Friday we took the kids down to Salt Lake where we went to the Discovery Gateway, a children's hands on museum. They had a big feature display of Sesame Street explains "the Body". Our kids have been wanting to go forever. It was so much fun. I am going to try and put in only a few pictures because all of them were so neat.

Breanna's favorite was the chute that would suck up the balls. She loved the wind in her face and watching the ball fly up.

They both enjoyed another wind activity, where they could put all sorts of different paper objects above a fan and watch them fly up a clear tube. (Paper cup-cake cups flew the best.) Even though neither of our kids really understood much of the technical side to the Body exhibit, they both knew the Sesame Street characters and loved to see Elmo's house.

They also loved being able to play with a small water exhibit and watch the little plastic balls float from the top of the water maze to the end. It was such a fun day! After a McDonalds lunch in the Gateway, we took our exhausted little ones home for a nap. What a fun Spring Break for all of us.
